Refunds & Repairs Policy

Introduction

This Refunds and Repairs Policy is designed to provide guidance on how refunds are processed and aligns with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008, South Africa (hereinafter referred to as “the CPA”). Additionally, this policy outlines the process for requesting repairs on goods purchased from Energy 4 All. We are committed to ensuring a fair and transparent process for our customers.

  1. Consumer’s Right to a Refund

2.1. Under the CPA, consumers have the right to request a refund for goods they have purchased within specific time frames and subject to certain conditions.

  1. Conditions for Refund

3.1. Refunds will only be considered under the following conditions:

a.  The Buyer must notify Energy 4 All of their intention to request a refund within the applicable time frame as specified by the CPA.

b.  The Goods must be in their original, unused condition, and all original packaging and labels must be intact.

c.  The Buyer must provide a valid proof of purchase, such as an invoice or receipt.

  1. Time Frames for Refunds

4.1. The time frames for requesting a refund under the CPA are as follows:

a. For defective Goods: The Buyer may request a refund within 6 months of delivery.

b. For non-defective Goods and services: The Buyer may request a refund within 7 days of receiving the Goods or services.

  1. Refund Process

5.1. To request a refund, the Buyer must contact Energy 4 All via the provided contact details and submit their refund request in writing. The request should include the following information:

a.  Name and contact information of the Buyer.

b.  Details of the purchase, including the order number and date of purchase.

c.  A clear description of the reason for the refund request.

5.2. Energy 4 All will acknowledge the refund request within a reasonable time and assess it in accordance with the CPA.

5.3. If the refund request is approved, Energy 4 All will process the refund within a reasonable time, and the Buyer will be informed of the refund method (e.g., credit to the original payment method or alternative arrangements).

  1. Repairs on Goods

6.1. If the Goods are found to be defective or in need of repair within the warranty period, the Buyer may request repairs instead of a refund.

6.2. To request repairs on defective Goods, the Buyer must contact Energy 4 All via the provided contact details and provide the following information:

a.  Name and contact information of the Buyer.

b.  Details of the purchase, including the order number and date of purchase.

c.  A clear description of the defects or issues with the Goods.

6.3. Energy 4 All will assess the request for repairs and arrange for the necessary repairs to be carried out within a reasonable time frame.

  1. Deductions and Charges

7.1. Energy 4 All reserves the right to deduct reasonable charges from the refund amount in cases where:

a.  The Goods were damaged due to negligence or improper handling by the Buyer.

b.  The Goods are not returned in their original, unused condition, including packaging and labels.

7.2. Any applicable deductions will be communicated to the Buyer before processing the refund.

  1. Rejection of Refund or Repair Request

8.1. Energy 4 All reserves the right to reject a refund or repair request if it does not comply with the conditions and requirements outlined in this policy or as stipulated by the CPA.

  1. Governing Law

10.1. This Refunds and Repairs Policy is governed by the laws of South Africa, and any disputes arising from or in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

  1. Changes to the Policy

11.1. Energy 4 All reserves the right to update or amend this Refunds and Repairs Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and it is the Buyer’s responsibility to review this policy periodically.
